Becoming an Allergy Mom

From Overwhelmed to Empowered

When my daughter (at the time an only child) was first diagnosed with an egg allergy at six months, our world shifted. Suddenly, ordinary moments like snack time, grocery shopping, family gathering and the idea of future birthday parties felt overwhelming. I didn’t feel like just a mom anymore. All of a sudden, I was an allergy mom navigating labels, IgE reference intervals, cross-contact and so much more. Then came the constant question in the back of my mind, “Is this safe?”

If you’re new here, hi, I’m Andronica, and if you are still reading, I’m just like you. I’m a mom (still) learning (sometimes fumbling) through the food allergy world with love, vigilance and a lot of label reading. I created this community because I’m always in search of clear answers, real encouragement, and a reminder that I’m not alone.

In those first weeks, I felt equal parts terrified and determined. I was scared of getting it wrong, but I also knew I wanted to keep my baby safe and make sure she could enjoy the fullness of life. six years later, that’s still my goal.

Whether you’re here because your little one was just diagnosed, or you’re simply looking for safe, allergy-friendly ideas, welcome. I’ll be sharing our favorite egg-free snacks, recipes that don’t taste like compromises, lessons I’ve learned and the joys I didn’t expect.

If you only take one thing from this community, let it be this; You’re doing better than you think. This journey can feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. You’ve found a soft place to land.

Follow along for tips, ideas, and a whole lot of grace as we figure this out together.

💛💛
